I have a question why IRCTC/Railways doesn't provide option to select seat at the time of booking. Currently they are only providing preference and if you have selected a Lower birth, it is not sure you will get the lower birth after booking. These are very embarrassing at the time when you travel with ladies and children and you are not provided your preferred seats.
Why irctc doesn't see Bookmyshow website/app where they are giving to select seat number option. This will be very helpful for passengers if Railways follow this technique.
