I took the HDFC car loan# 30168919 in Oct-2014. The loan processing officer communicated me that my loan is processed under the 'Zero Hero' offer, so that i can close the loan after 18 months without any charges.
Today (4/27) I tried to close the loan and came to know that the 'Zero Hero' loan is not activated to me and asked to pay 5% payment penalty on the outstanding amount.
Can someone help me how to proceed further on this and get my loan closed without pre-payment penalties? or further actions to be taken?
