I have been cheated by L &T Medical insurance and Coverfox.
And I am very much disappointed with this kind of behavior from such a big and reputed company.
This is a fraud with me from L&T Insurance company.
On 28-Apr-2016, I purchased one medical insurance policy for my brother from L&T medical insurance (Proposal No. 316108000612970000) through “Coverfox”. But it went into the status of review because my brother has gone through the surgery of hernia 2 years back. But I made payment on that very day on 28-Apr-2016. As per the policy there was accidental coverage in policy since the day of payment of policy. Unfortunately my brother met with an accident on 3-May-2016. I discussed the accident matter with L&T and Coverfox for medical claim and customer care of L&T told me that I will receive claim against the accident. I submitted all the hernia related history and documents for the confirmation of policy But on that very evening I received mail from Coverfox that my brother’s policy is declined due to the reason that he has gone through the surgery of hernia and one decline letter from L&T was attached along with mail. And coverfox refunded me the policy amount which I paid. That time I also suspected that L&T has cancelled the policy because if you accept the policy, you had to give all the accidental claim. And you cancelled the policy.
So After 20 days, on 18-May-2016, I applied the same L&T policy directly from L&T medical insurance on the basis of same history of hernia. This time I submitted the same hernia documents history again. My brother went through all the medical checkups done by L&T. and this L&T issued the policy and the medical insurance card also with the constraint that hernia will not be covered for three years from the date of policy. (Policy No: 316108000622020000).
This is total fraud case I have encountered from L&T. I am a middle class person. And the total expenditure on accident surgery and treatment was around 100000/-. It is a big amount for me. I borrowed this money for this accident treatment. Everyone purchases medical insurance for the help from insurance company at the time of need. But I didn’t expect this kind of fraud from such a reputed company. I want justice for this case. I am in need of money.
I have contacted Coverfox for knowing the reason of declining the earlier policy though both the policy were applied on the same basis. and ever they are not able to explain me the reason for this cheating.
