I bought a Bosch Smoke Extractor (Chimney) DEF 918PIN from Ramdeo Trading in Kolkata. The product was delivered in a sealed condition but parts inside were missing. The engineer from the dealer was not an authorised dealer which I found out later. Even though the product was incomplete the engineer went ahead and installed the product and logged a complaint for the missing part with the dealer. Now the company is not interested in servicing the product and the delaer has been giving assurances for the last 45 days. Bosch says that I have to pay for the missing part. Is it possible that the company doesnt have any control over who the dealer sends for installation? If the dealer sent an unauthorised engineer then why was he not penalised for it and now the company has coolly washed its hands off the whole affair. Friends please stay away from these German companies. They are known for horrible after sales service. I found it out the rather hard way. Go for the Indian brands.
