Airtel Broadband - not disconnecting the service

This is regarding the broadband account no 14044394, our billing cycle ends on 7th of the month. Because of poor broadband speed i requested to disconnect my broadband service before 7th of Nov 2013 so that I am properly disconnected with the billing cycle. I was told that your disconnect request has been taken and at the same time we will forward it to our costumer retention department and they will get back to you.

Today i got my bill and i got so surprised after seeing that it was a full bill, when i talked to Airtel customer service, they told me there was never a disconnect request from you. Last week my friend was telling me the same thing that that's what Airtel does, that even after the disconnect request they don't do it and then you keep fighting with them for the adjustments. Hope someone is looking into this malpractice!
