I recently purchased a 1.5 Ton Split AC from your Gorakhpur, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh outlet on 06.06.2025, with high expectations of quality and service. Unfortunately, the unit has not been cooling properly since the day of installation. Even when set at 16°C, the cooling performance remains poor. In comparison, a friend of mine owns the same model, installed in a similar flat layout, and it functions perfectly, which clearly indicates that something is wrong with my unit.
2. I raised a complaint regarding this issue, and the croma team sent two technicians on 16.06.2025. To my utter shock and dismay, instead of resolving my problem explanation, they dismissively stated that they "believe only in theory," claiming that as per their vent temperature readings, the AC was working fine.
3. They took the AC temperature at its vent (mouth) when the AC was set at 16°C. They stayed at my residence for more than 1.5 hours and recorded a room temperature of 28°C. Whereas the temperature at the unit opening vent(mouth) was recorded 12'C. The size of the room is around 10*12 ft. The temperature at outside ambience was recorded 32°C. Which shows a poor performance of the unit. But they refused to accept it and said they are not responsible for the non-cooling of the room. The unit is functioning, that's all.
4. An AC placed in a car may also record the temperature of 12°C at their vent. But it doesn't mean that it should be placed in a room. The non-cooling of the room shows a poor performance of AC. Which means it has some defect and it must be replaced.
5. However, they ignored the actual problem, did not engage in any meaningful inspection, and instead stood sweating in the room while insisting that the unit was functioning properly just because of some technical reading. Their attitude was rude, dismissive, and completely unacceptable.
6. What’s even more frustrating is recalling how, during the purchase, their staff proudly claimed that this brand was the only one offering warranty-based replacements. Now that I am facing a genuine issue, I am receiving only one reply that their AC is functional.
