I've a few suggestions to make to BSNL authorities:
A) To complain about a BSNL land line, one must contact BSNL's 198, thru their network. Apart from this present procedure, one should be able to make a complaint to BSNL, thru' any mobile (cell) phone, by dialling and / or SMS. Gas companies have such facilities.
B) BSNL prints the telephone directory now and then; they give an advt. in some news papers, when they are ready to distribute the directory. My suggestion is, apart from above, individual notification is possible without incurring any expenditure, by giving a notification in their bi-monthly telephone bills to the subscriber. They resort to this method, when they want the sub. to know about any new services offered by them, when any new procedure is to be followed etc. This printing of directory may also come in this category.
