I applied for a re-issue of my passport (which was about to expire in a month) on 13th Jan 2014. Within a week, the police verification for both my previous and current address was completed and I received an SMS saying that the police has submitted a clear report for my application number.
Yet, the status on the website tracker says, "Police verification report for your application is under review at the RPO. You will receive an SMS/ email when your passport is dispatched."
I was under the impression that for a Post PV application, the passport is dispatched even before the police verification. But now it has been over 20 days. Has this happened to anyone? When do I think I will receive my passport? How can I follow it up?
