Zest Breaks- never take their membership

We had taken the membership from Zest Breaks- Mahindra Holidays in Dec 2010 for the amount 120741. This was for a period of 10 years. They promised us a holiday of 6 days every year till 2021. At the time we took the membership they had 6 resorts and they promised to add 2-3 resorts every year. We are in the third year and they now have only 5 resorts.We have used 3 of their resorts out of which only 1 was good. We cannot spend the rest of our 48 nights of holidays in the same 5 resorts which they have. We are trying to cancel the membership and They want to return only around 8000 from our original amount although we have only used 12 nights of holidays in the last 3 years.They have sent us the foillowing mail:

Further to our discussion, we would like to retain you as a Zest Mahindra member and therefore request you to give us an opportunity to give your family and you happy and memorable holidays in the forthcoming years.

However, if you do decide to terminate your association with us, please note that the following charges will be applicable.

You have purchased a 10years – Buzz membership during Dec -2010.

Total cost of Membership – Rs 1,05,100/-

Amount paid - Rs. 1,20,741/-


Deductions :

6 (a) Admission Fee 60% of the product price : Rs 63,060/-
6 (b) Regular holidays (11.67 Nights*2000) : Rs 23,340/-
6 (c) Down payment discount : Rs 7,500/-
6 (d) Non Refundable Service Tax : Rs 11,275/-
6 (e) Bonus Holiday Cost : 2000*3nights : Rs 6,000/-
6 (f) Food Voucher Cost : Rs 1,500/-

Total Deductions : Rs 1,12,675 /–

Amount Refund (Amount paid - Total Deductions) 1,20,741 – 1,12,675 =Rs 8066/-
In view of the large amount you stand to lose, we would once again urge you to reconsider your decision to continue the membership.
