MAHINDRA POWEROL & PRESTOLITE BATTERY FAILURE

we have bought mahindra powerol UPS along with prestolite battery for Rs.16000/- on 24/02/2012 from SS Power Services, Erode, Tamilnadu.

The battery carries a replacement warranty of 18 months. The supplier told that they would do free service till warranty period expired. Every three months the company did free service by topping water level in battery. But we faced one problem with battery. One cell started to dry quickly. We complained to the service person who attended battery during first free service. He said he would inform the company. In between we topped battery with distilled water. On the second service, another man came and we complained the same. But he too replied the same. It continued in the third service too. But no one attended the problem.
Finally the UPS failed on 10th August 2013. we called the supplier, but he said he would attend the call once we make call lock to toll free number. we made a call lock to toll free number 1800 4191 999 and got ticket number 2013081019 on 10th aug and service engineer name - kaviarasu attended and checked the battery. He said one cell has completely dried and topped the battery with distilled water. His assurance was battery was fine.
Again we faced the same problem of UPS failure within days and the supplier took the battery along with UPS on 28/08/2013 and returned the same on 31/08/2013. Kaviarasu told that battery acid is changed and hence there wont be any problem. But we demanded replacement of battery since it failed often. But he promised that battery life would be good. But again the UPS failed totally on 31/10/2013 and when we called kaviarasu, he said he can attend only after deepavali ie 02/11/2013. he came on 04/11/2013 and said one cell has dried totally and since warranty expired on 24/10/2013, we should pay for new battery. But we demanded new battery without cost, he blamed us for not maintaining battery. We remainded him about frequent complaints we made from initial days with free service attenders, he strongly denied and asked us to identify the persons. His total approach was finding fault with us and not finding solutions.

But no one attended but we got a message that our complaints has been resolved every time.
We made a request to SS Power Services head office at salem through letter, but they rejected our claim.

Till now the UPS is idle for months and our investment of Rs.16,000/- is wasted by trusting the brand name "MAHINDRA"
