Connecting Tata Sky wire catching smoke on its own

It is a shocking incident that inspite of being such a Big Corporate House Tata Group has cheated their consumers of a sound and peaceful product.

We are running a Service Apartment in Bangalore and have some 50 Tata Sky Connections.

In the early hours of 25th of November our guest observes smoke in the room and gets panicky and contacts the reception. The staff reaches the spot asap and observes the wire connecting the Tata Sky Box to the LCD Screen releasing smoke n smell because of the plastic wire cover. The complete connecting wire gets melted with no damage either to the LCD nor to the power point.

By God's Grace there was no fire and nothing untoward happened but when we inform the same to the Tata Sky and send them a mail they are satisfied by just giving us a service number i.e.: 1-24484378754 and a mobile number 9500967080 which is always out of service coverage area.

Is this the concern of such a big organisation towards their consumers complaints.

Is this how they treat they customers.

Doesnt safety n security is also their concern when it comes to selling a defaulty product.

We were under the assumption that we are getting associated with an organisation which is sensitive towards customers issues but what we observe is their total ignorance of the same.

Shouldnt Tata Sky be more service oriented to understand the importance of the issue.
