I brought a tv in USA Model number is 46ES7500 and shipped to india via fedex. Customs is asking for BIS ( buerue of indian standards) certification for this product. Same model is available in india. I have contacted samsung and asked if there is a list of products approved by BIS to sell in india. No one could help me on this. I have called almost 20 times different teams, no one knows who can give that list or letter stating this model is BIS certified.
If I cant provide that certificate to Customs, they are not going to release the shipment. it costed almost 1 lak in india rupees. Can any one help?
