I had my passport issued in Tatkaal service from Bhopal in Nov 2013. I had enrolled for SMS service. On 10th Jan 2014 I received a SMS saying that Police has given Adverse Report for my Current Address.
However I have not got any letter from MEA till now. Also the application status on passport seva site just shows that passport has been dispatched.
I would like to know the following:
1) Should I first wait for the official letter from MEA to apply for re verification or can I apply based on the sms.
2) What is the procedure for applying for re-verification ?
2) Can the re-verification be done by sending an email to RPO Bhopal along with scanned copy of PP form or do I have to visit the RPO personally the initiate the re-verification.
3) Do I need to surrender my passport at RPO or just take it with me to the RPO for verification ?
